November 28, 2017•INSTAGRAM POST: #CELEBRATESELFCARE Day 5: Mindfulness. This is hands down the hardest one for me in our challenge especially when it comes to operating from my “highest self” around those closest to me. The self-care here shows up as remembering to remember. And taking inspiration from anyone or anything that bring us back in connection with our embodied heart. A technique I’ve been using thanks to @tarabrach is to pause put my hand on my heart feel my breath and silently repeat, “I’m listening and I love you”. I guess anytime we remember to remember mindfulness, kindness, compassion, love, etc.(choose your favorite quality) we stand the chance of alleviating and transforming suffering in ourselves and preventing transmitting suffering to others.
